BOYS BASKETBALL - Congratulations to the junior boys basketball team on their 25 point win last night against White Oaks in the Halton semi finals. The boys pulled through at the end to win 60-35 on the back of Matteo Zagar's 30 point performance. The boys look to cap off their undefeated season Wednesday from 230 at Sheridan college in the Halton finals.     LEGAL EAGLES - The weeks leading up to the tryouts are mandatory, as it provides opportunities to go over the case with your team. However, if you have a valid excuse and inform one of the executives 24 hours before, we shall make an exception. Good luck on your cases!     MIDGET GIRLS VOLLEYBALL - Congratulations to the midget girls volleyball team for their excellent team play on Tuesday! Abbey Park was able to win back to back games against TAB and CK. Georgetown caused us some difficulty but we have time to tweak our strategy before the Halton Finals. Mrs. Redfearn and Ms Wingfield would also like to thank all of the volunteers that helped make this event a success.    RUGBY - This is a reminder for ALL students interested in Abbey Park rugby that ALL teams have training sessions at Pine Glen after school today at 3:30. If you have not already handed in a permission form, please bring it to Pine Glen with you. If you need a form, or if you have questions about rugby at Abbey Park, please speak to a coach. Girls should speak to Ms. Weston, Grade Nine boys should speak to Mr. Leggatt, Grade Ten boys to Mr. Hepburn, and senior boys to Mr. Lui.    SOCIAL CHANGE - Are you interested in Me to We, making moccasins or participating in a water walk? Then you should join Social Change! There is a meeting today after school in room 204! Hope to see you there!     WINTER OLYMPICS - Today is the final day of olympic week brought to you by student council! Today's activity will be a 6 legged race in the foyer during period 3 and 4. Come down to compete against your friends and earn points for your grade!

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB - is meeting this Wednesday, after school in room 208. See you there!     BOYS BASKETBALL - Congratulations to the junior boys basketball team on their 40 point win Monday against Burlington Central in the quarterfinals. Come cheer on the boys in their semi final match today against White Oaks at home, right after school, as they look to continue their 12 game undefeated streak.     GIRLS HOCKEY - The girls hockey team dominated first place MMR yesterday, defeating them 4-0. Sam Ecclestone had all 4 goals and Maddyx Lindsay had the shutout. Good job girls.     OPTION SHEETS - This is an important reminder for all students that Course Selections sheets are due this Thursday February 15th! That's right, this Thursday February 15th. If you want to ensure you get courses you really want next year, you must choose them in myBlueprint by Thursday. Grade 12's not returning are asked to choose not returning in myBlueprint.     SHOW OF HANDS - Attention all cast and crew for Show of Hands. You are required to come to this Thursday's rehearsal from 3:00-5:30 pm to find out your part. If you have not paid your audition fee yet, you must bring it to the rehearsal.     SOCIAL CHANGE - Happy Valentines Day Abbey Park! Do you want to spread love and make a difference? Then come out to Social Change tomorrow after school in room 204. Our upcoming events include 30 Hour Famine and making baby mocassins! New members are always welcome.     WINTER OLYMPICS - Day 3 of olympic week will feature a hockey event! Come down to the foyer today during period 3 and 4 to compete against your friends and earn points for your grade.     YEARBOOK CLUB - Attention yearbookers and potential new yearbookers. Yearbook club is cancelled today due to much needed Valentine's Day Love. Yearbook will re-convene in one week on February 21st. New members are welcome.

SKI TEAM AND CREW - Please see Ms. Barran, Mr. K or Mr. Harding as soon as possible for Craigleith waivers. All crew members need to tell Ms Barran by noon today if they are going on the ski trip to Craigleith on Thursday. Bus leaves at 6:00am.

APHS IMPROV TEAM - competed Friday night in the Canadian Improv Games and earned enough points to go to the next level which is like OFSAA. If they win there, they go to nationals! Please congratulate the team!

JR BOYS BAKETBALL - Congrats to the junior boys basketball team on their play Friday at Saint Thomas Aquinas. the boys beat the number 10 ranked team in the GTA, and went to overtime against the number 3 team in a dramatic finish. Come cheer on the boys today after school in the gym from 430 as they face Burlington Central in their quarterfinal match.
