STUDENTS VOTE - RESULT

Hello Eagles. The Legal Eagles are proud to present the results of Thursday's student vote. The results, in order from most votes to least, are as follows: Anita Anand of the Liberal party with 327 votes, or 34.6%. Terrence Young of the Conservative Party with 221 votes, or 23.02%, James Elwick of the Green Party with 171 votes, or 17.81%, Jerome Adamo of the NDP with 157 votes, or 16.35%, JD Meaney of the People's Party of Canada with 43 votes, or 4.48%, and Sushila Pereira of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada with 27 votes, or 2.81%. There were also 14 spoiled ballots, comprising 1.46% of the vote. Thank you for voting Eagles!

ESCAPE ROOM

Escape room club will be meeting period 4 on Thursday in room 211. Bring your lunch so we can use the whole period to plan and test an escape room. This is our first official meeting so all are welcome. If you cannot attend at that time but are interested in our club please email Mrs.Peers.

USED CLOTHING DRIVE

Are you looking to clean out your closet of old clothes? Environmental Council is running a used clothing drive from Monday October 21 to Monday October 28. Bring in used clothing and drop it off in the foyer. The more bags of clothes we bring in, the more money we make! And recycling clothing helps the environment too!

REDUCE THE USE OF PLASTIC UTENSILS

Hey eagles ! Did you know that our school actually uses 300 plastic utensils in one day? That means that over 3000 plastic cutlery must be bought every two weeks. Do you want to help with this issue? Well, a way to start is by bringing your own cutlery. If you want to know more about how you could help, come to the Environmental Council at Room 213 on Thursday after school.

YEARBOOKS 2018

Yearbooks have arrived! Did you purchase a yearbook last year? They will be available in the Eagles Nest at select times period 3 and 4 and often after school for 15 minutes. Yearbooks are only available for those that purchased them. Don't miss out, buy this year's book now at early bird pricing so you won't be sad next year.
